ACSR consists of a galvanized steel core surrounded by concentric layers of aluminum wire,if required, ACSR conductor
ACSR(Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced) is widely used in the overhead power distribution system of our country.
We can supply this conductor according to different recognized standards, such as IEC61089,BS215,ASTM B232,CSA C49,DIN48204,JIS C3110, customer special specification also can be satisfied.
The data sheets below show the most common standards,British standard.
British Sizes BS215
Description
For use in overhead transmission and distribution systems and as bus connections in substations and switchyards. Solid conductors used for mechanical and grounding
applications.Classes AA and A are used primarily for overhead transmission
and primary and secondary distribution, where ampacity must be maintained,a lighter conductor (compared to ACSR ) is desired and when conductor strength is nota critical factor.Classes B and C are used primarily as bus, apparatus connectors and jumpers, where additional flexibility is required.
